Blue Diamond ET40A Septic Air Pump

ET40A: Is our most economical Linear Diaphragm air pump with Low Pressure Alarm. It has an output of 35 liters of air per minute and is compatible for use in many 500 Gallons Per Day (GPD) residential sewer treatment plants with an actual tank volume of up to 750 gallons and are not of the following brand names: “Cajun Aire”, “Econo”, “Jet”, “Hoot”, “Delta” and “Modad2”. Most residential tanks are of the 750 gallon capacity and normally require from 40 to 60 Liters/min, which our ET40A fits perfectly. If you are not sure of the required aerator output  and you do not know the brand name or volume of your treatment plant, you simply need to look at the model number on your old pump. Usually that model number will have a “40”, “60” or “80” incorporated in it that will signify that it is a 40, 60 or 80 liter per minute pump. If you still cannot see one of these three in the model number, then you can either do a GOOGLE search for that model number to get the Liter per minute specification, or yo can call me and I will do it for you!

This air pump comes with an integrated pressure sensor and alarm that will inform you (with a red light and loud buzzer) there is a loss of the correct air pressure in your aeration system. Usually the alarm sounds because the aerator itself is worn and not producing enough air, or because you have a break in the 1/2″ pvc pipe connection that conducts air to the sewer treatment plant tank. In either case it is a very helpful tool to have! It’s funny how many people I meet in my business that tell me that their air pump is still running after 10 years. When I take a look I usually find that the pump motor is still vibrating, but by putting my thumb on the pump outlet, I find that no air is actually being pumped…for how long has that been? At any rate, if you are a little bit lazy, like I am, to check your pump periodically, this alarm system is the way to go!
